Rennsteiglied (Thüringer Folklore Tanzensemble Rudolstadt), Herbert Roth on TV

On Sunday on MDR: “Legenden – Ein Abend für Herbert Roth”. I already have an entry of this 2017 documentary, aired in the series Damals war’s, ep 4.

During research, I found this clip on YouTube called “Rennsteiglied – Traditional German Dance” by Thuiringer.

Boys and mainly girls in buckskin Lederhosen. Also sitting on each other. He also have some more clips including Watschnplattler and butt slapping (boys and girls hitting each other) “Traditional German Dance – Bavarian Folk Dance”. Lederhosen with and without suspenders.

Info 305: Webfinds Lederhosen

I found a great facebook page showing several boys and girls in different Lederhosen dancing Schuplattler. Long and short Lederhosen. I think very few ones in smooth finished leather as well.

Unlike the tumblr blogs, who always got deleted sooner or later, I think this is decent enought to add this on my blogroll.

Das erste Mal … Europa!

Teen travel documentary series, 12 ep
Year: 2018
Year in film: 2017 ?
Country: Germany
Who in clothing: Philipp 19, men Lederhosen
Who in clothing 2: boys Lederhosen ?
Available on DVD: no ?
I own: no
Clothing occurence: low ?
Rating:  3/10 ?
–Rating: ***
Comment: At least 19 yo Philipp Schmitze-Elsen in longer, light brown buckskin Lederhosen with H-style suspenders and some men in shorter, darker Lederhosen also dancing Schuhplattler at the Oktoberfest (probably in 2017). Maybe some others including boys in the background?

Tomorrow on TV (Kika) or on the mediathek. Final episode 12.

I don’t like Philipp, but it’s an interesting documentary, today it was about The Netherlands. There was also an episode about Austria, but I think not with Lederhosen.

More infos later. Obviously few scenes at the beginning only.

Also even more interesting was the earlier series “Das erste Mal … USA!” (bib overalls blog, rating 4 f,m). Also showing younger ranch boys in jeans.

For now rating 2-3 only.

I missed some parts, but I haven’t noticed any younger boys. So rather rating 2.  Interesting the homes of hosts Philipp and Louisa.

Info 275: Die Jungs-WG – Ein Monat ohne Eltern – season 3 (on TV)

Season 3 (which is my favourite one) is currently rebroadcasted on Kika (also available online).

In the upcoming ep 7 (Jan 31) the teen boys wear longer Lederhosen and learning dancing Schuhplattler in Austria.

Main entry, rating 4, previously without pic (now also on my shiny shorts blog, other seasons)

Update: Stadt, Land, Bus

I found the episode of the Lederhosen. It’s episode 6. The complete episode showing Lederhosen, but mainly the older teen boys. Also later young and very young boys and also men inside and outside including dancing Schuhplattler.

Has also been aired, but is also available on the mediathek.

I think few good scenes (most from a distance), so still rating 4.

Comment: Some boys and men in Lederhosen. Unknown episode. It’s about “typical German”.

I think only available online at zdf. Currently 4 episodes only. Probably not that one yet picured (taken from a trailer).

Rating 4-5 for now. Main characters are older teens (maybe not in Lederhosen). But at least swimwear.

Update: The Lederhosen scenes in ep 6. Complete episode showing Lederhosen, mainly the older teen oys, some young and very young boys later and men. Has also been aired on Kika. And available on the mediathek.

Comment: One boy, maybe Alfred Litzinger in long, grey cotton pants with H-style leather suspenders and a Tyrolean hat. According to the movie poster also in short Lederhosen. Near the end also young men and maybe teen boys in short Lederhosen dancing Schuhplattler. Also a spanking scene of the boy outside.

I think few good scenes. Typical late musical Heimatfilm. Directed by Harald Reinl, starring Hans-Jürgen Bäumler, Georg Thomalla, Rudolf Prack and Beppo Brem.

So rating 3-4 for now only.

Update: Schau in meine Welt!

I now have rechecked Ep 187 “Ludwig, der Schuhplattler” (rating 6) and made some pics (previously no pics).

Many boys and men in Lederhosen at the beginning (but mainly from a distance). I think main character Ludwig on front during a competition in pic 2.

Later some boys dancing Schuhplattler and dancing with girls. Also one younger, blonde boy (red/ white checkered shirt). Mainly teen boys, some also sitting.

Also soon on my pigtails blog, rating 6. Main entry

Comment: Some boys, mainly around 13-14 yo learning dancing Schuhplattler in longer, dark brown almost black buckskin Lederhosen. Ep 187 “Ludwig, der Schuhplattler”. At least one boy is much younger. Some boys sitting in the background. At least one man (teacher). Girls in tadtitional clothes (dresses) and some in pigtails.

I only have checked briefly this episode. Needs to be rechecked.

Available on the Kika mediathek. Similar documentary series like “Stark! – Kinder erzählen ihre Geschichte”.

Also on my bib overalls blog rating 4 (firefighters boys, girls).

Rating 5-6 for now. At least some older boys and another Schuhplattler entry.

Also soon on my pigtails blog, rating 6.

Unknown 17: Schinkenklopfer

I recently found this interesting clip showing boys in longer Lederhosen (H-style suspenders) and other traditional clothes (but not hats) dancing Schuhplattler (Gaudiplattler) and slapping each other on their bottoms. Some girls watching it. Reminds me of St. Florian Sängerknaben in 2011.

I’m not sure if this was being broadcasted (documentary ?) or is just a private recording. Probably a private clip as there’s no broadcasting logo (or must be much older).

Perfect introduction to the upcoming Oktoberfest this Saturday.

Rating 6-7.
